Orlando Flights - Your Gateway to an American Dream Holiday!

Orlando is truly the most popular tourist destination in the state of Florida. When deciding on your holiday and booking your Orlando flights, it is good to be as flexible as possible so you aren't left paying the most expensive fares.
When flying from the UK, there is a large array of carriers to choose from. You can get scheduled flights direct to Orlando every day of the week, but they tend to be more expensive.
As long as you don't mind when you travel there can be cheaper deals to be had out of peak season, and they are more competitive since fuel surcharges have been reduced. You can expect to pay over £300 for an economy seat, but if you sign up for air miles offers or frequent flyer membership you can save money all year round.
If you decide to fly with a scheduled airline you can also take advantage of a more generous luggage allowance.
Many discount carriers also fly to Orlando. Although their rates are less than their scheduled counterparts, these airlines tend to fly into one of the secondary airports further outside of the city, so, as long as you don't mind another lengthy journey once you've landed, they are worth a look.
The cheapest option is usually to fly with one of the charter companies. You can pick up a last minute flight from as little as £100. Be careful to watch the extras as they can push the fare up somewhat. You will also find your luggage allowance is a lot less than if you choose a scheduled flight.
The best time to find a cheaper flight to Orlando is in late May or early June. If you must go in summer try to leave it until after the schools have gone back in September when there are fewer tourists.
If you are booking Orlando flights, it is worth also planning ahead for your arrival. Try to purchase theme-park tickets online to avoid queuing at many of the top attractions. If you still need to buy tickets once you're there, endeavour to get to the park an hour before it opens to stand in line.
The primary airport is Orlando International, around nine miles south of downtown Orlando, and 20 minutes drive from the centre. Some of the budget and charter airlines tend to fly into Orlando-Sanford airport located around 45 minutes north of the city.
There are many wonderful places to visit once you arrive in the sunshine capital. Undoubtedly the most well known and celebrated of them all is Disney World. The visionary Walt Disney turned Orlando, and the adjacent areas of Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista, into the world's busiest, biggest, and most famous theme park.
The intention since its creation back in 1971 was to make the fantasies and dreams of children young and old a reality. Today, the Disney World family also includes Epcot, Hollywood Studios, a working animation and television studio and Animal Kingdom.
SeaWorld gives tourists an interactive look at the sea and the world that lives beneath the ocean. However, it is most recognised for the fabulous performances given daily by some aquatic animal stars.
Universal Studios is a movie-themed park with exciting rides, film sets and studios as well as onsite opulent hotels.
Other attractions worth a visit are Wet 'n' Wild, one of the most popular water attractions in the US; the Kennedy Space Centre, which is accessible within an hour's drive; and also Busch Gardens.
With so much to see and do, why not book your Orlando flights today and start living a small part of the American dream too.
